Social Events

Fall is the season for Club No.1’s annual Lobsterfeed. This member-funded event celebrates Club No.1’s accomplishments of the past year. Guests enjoy a steak or lobster dinner, which is followed by dancing to a live band. Club members are encouraged to invite family and friends

THE Committee

THE Committee organizes social events throughout the year to build club relationships. Past events include broomball, paintball, indoor cart racing, Sacramento Kings games and Rivers Cats games. The events are member-funded and often include family.

New Members Cocktail Party

Club No. 1 hosts a New Members Cocktail Party twice annually. The parties celebrate members who joined Club No.1 in the previous 6 months. Like Lobsterfeed, club members are encouraged to invite family and friends.

Concluding both 6-month terms is Installation. In a light-hearted funny ceremony, newly elected President, Vice President and Board of Directors candidates assume their positions followed by address from the incoming president setting out the club’s agenda for the term. Installation is often a theme costume party; club members are encouraged to invite wives, girlfriends and friends.

Members Golf Tournament

Once a year, Club No.1 hosts a social golf tournament for its current members and Past Actives. Format usually is four-man scramble with putting, closest to the pin and long drive contests. Dinner follows the tournament.

Past Active Night

Once a year Club No.1 invites former members to a meeting commonly known as Past Active Night. Past Club No.1 members come to see friends who were members and to pass on Club No. 1 traditions to the active membership.
